Our Story

DOKE Talent was born from a journey that began in Forest City, North Carolina. As an international student studying high school diploma, I discovered a sense of purpose and fulfilment in supporting my peers in biology, chemistry, and math—subjects I naturally excelled in. This led me to start tutoring Year 7–12 students later for quite some time, an experience that planted the early seeds of what would become a lifelong commitment to mentorship and education.

When I immigrated to Australia with my family in 2014, I stepped into a new culture, new systems, and new challenges. But one thing never changed—my passion for teaching and helping others grow. Since then, I’ve completed high school, earned my Master’s, and am now pursuing a PhD. Along the way, I’ve come to deeply value the power of supervision and mentorship. These experiences didn’t just shape my professional identity—they gave me the confidence to see myself as a leader, not just a learner.

I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by mentors and peers who believed in me, and I carry that forward through DOKE Talent. I know from experience that for people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, navigating education and healthcare careers can be daunting. Language, systems, and unspoken expectations often become invisible barriers. I’ve lived those challenges—and now I help others rise through them.
